However, the harsh reality is approximately 85% of the children and families The Denver Health Foundation serve live below the federal poverty line.

Approximately 4,000 infants are born each year at the center, and the provision of essentials to the families has become a vital part of the programs efforts. The Denver Health Foundation has been a part of the K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers community partner program since 2009. “Our partnership with K.I.D.S./Fashion Delivers has been instrumental in our ability to create our ‘Warm Welcome Bags’ filled with essential items such as baby clothes, bibs and blankets,” says Robin.

Since becoming a part of our Funded Agency Program, the Denver Health Foundation has been able to expand the scope of their programs offered by creating special distributions for families, such as the recent “Christmas in July” giveaway that included new Toys “R” Us and Gerber Childrenswear, as well as essential items like summer dresses, pajamas, swim trunks, running suits and much more.Pictured is our dedicated volunteer, Cliff Lesser, who took a day during his recent visit to the Denver area to see first-hand how new product can make a profound impact in the lives of those who need it. Cliff spent the day volunteering at the Denver Health Foundation, unpacking apparel and visiting families who are a part of the program.
